Coronavirus (COVID-19): August update
As an employer providing frontline health and care, Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust has a duty to protect its staff, patients, visitors and their families. This includes taking reasonable steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and as such all work experience placements were suspended in March 2020. The trust continues to monitor the situation and currently offers a virtual day in the life opportunity in some of our services. The following links will also take you to virtual work experience and learning opportunities.
Keep up-to-date with the latest information, read our page on Coronavirus.
There are many different career routes in the NHS and KCHFT offers a variety of opportunities to give an insight into a various roles within the trust.
We offer work experience placements with both clinical and non-clinical teams – these are designed for students who are at least 16 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot accept students under 18 for work experience in some of our services.
We offer the following:
- work experience for secondary school students
- opportunities for post-16 students including A’ Level students, pre-graduates and post graduates
- opportunities for people interested in a career change and the unemployed to gain vital experience and insight into career opportunities in the NHS
- SpringPod.co.uk - virtual work experience.
We recommend you explore the NHS careers website before deciding which department you would to spend time with – that way you can make sure you are gaining the most from your work experience.
To apply for a placement within KCHFT, you must complete the work placement application form and health questionnaire and return it to email@example.com.
