Hypertension

Cardiac HypertensionHigh blood pressure (known as hypertension) is one of the most important risk factors for cardiovascular disease. When the heart is working under increased pressure it increases the risk of hypertensive heart disease including heart failure, thickening of the heart muscle, coronary artery disease, and other conditions.
