What we do

We deal with wound prevention, management, assessment and health promotion. Our service is open to children and adults under the care of a health professional. We provide advice and support to nursing and healthcare professionals to develop and improve their own practice, aiming to raise the quality and standards of care in tissue viability.

How do you use this service?

We support all patients under the care of staff in the trust.

In the west Kent locality, referrals can also be made by a GP and nursing homes too.

Watch Ralph’s story

Ralph, who lived with MS, talks about how good care from community nurses in Kent helped prevent and treat his pressure ulcers.

Since filming, Ralph has sadly died. We would like to thank his wife, Karen, for allowing us to share this moving film.
