Sexual assault

If you’ve experienced sexual assault, you are not alone, and support is available. You are never to blame for any sexual assault that happens to you. The blame lies with the perpetrator or perpetrators.

Sexual assaults:

  • can happen to anyone regardless of their age or gender
  • don’t always leave visible injuries or involve physical violence or weapons
  • can be perpetrated by a stranger or someone you know like your partner or ex-partner, family member, friend, teacher, or colleague.

We offer compassionate care and can help you access:

  • medical attention
  • emergency contraception
  • STI testing
  • emotional and psychological support.

You can also reach out to Beech House Sexual Assault Referral Centre, who offer free, confidential healthcare and compassionate support to people of all ages in Kent and Medway that have experienced sexual assault or rape in their lifetime.

You can phone 0330 223 0099 24 hours a day, every day of the year to speak with a nurse for support. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent medical attention, please call 999.
