My son suffers with severe anxiety and was extremely nervous whilst at the appointment. All 3 nurses were absolutely incredible with my son. They immediately put him at ease and explained everything to him whilst keeping him calm and reassured. I can’t thank these amazing ladies enough for the care and attention they gave to my son. I’m extremely grateful to them as without their expertise, he would have refused to have the injection. They kept him there about 20 minutes after the appointment to give his adrenaline a chance to reduce and explained sensitivity how his arm will feel for a couple of days, explaining that it is completely normal and not to worry. Thank you ladies.

The first lady realised that I had to go to the other person for my vaccine as I was outreach but was very nice and helpful and helped me to calm down. The second lady was aware of my notes and she knew exactly what to do to keep me calm. I have an extreme phobia and potentially PTSD so I was rather stressed even though I had taken a reasonable dose of anti-anxiety medication beforehand. She kept me away from things that might trigger me and helped encourage my friend to distract me. I haven’t had such a positive experience going for a test for over five years and started to cry after it was done out joy and relief and gratefulness - She understood exactly that I didn’t want to know when it was going to be done and gave a subtle countdown before doing it so I didn’t have the chance to tense or become overwhelmed. I cannot express a big enough thank you to this lady as without her, I wouldn’t have been able to go study Radiography at university in September.
