Research shows that patients in hospital, who get up and get dressed every day, recover faster.
But not all our patients arrive in hospital with clean clothes, or have friends or relatives who can bring them in.
And that’s why we need donations of NEW clothes for our community hospitals to help patients get up and dressed – and sometimes, even go home in.
We’re looking for tracksuit bottoms, trousers, t-shirts, shirts, jumpers, slippers with grip, underwear and woolly hats.
Donations can be left at any of our hospital receptions or with our volunteers at the League of Friends shops. Our community hospitals accepting clothes are: Deal, Whitstable and Tankerton; Herne Bay; Faversham; Sevenoaks; Tonbridge and Hawkhurst.
Please do not donate clothes to Folkestone hospital, as it does not have an in-patient ward. Sittingbourne, Sheppey, Gravesham and Livingstone inpatient services hospitals are run by another provider.
Unfortunately, due to the possibility of infection, we can only accept NEW clothes.
