Get active, lose weight and improve your quality of life

Being active is good for your mind and body. Every minute of activity counts and the more you do, the more you'll benefit, physically as well as improving your emotional and mental wellbeing.

Exercise can:

  • improve your sleep
  • clear your mind
  • boost your energy
  • help with back or joint pain
  • support weight loss.

Exercise can also reduce your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer's disease and some cancers.

Clients on One You Kent’s weight loss programmes can access free personalised one-to-one support with Sarah, our Physical Activity Supervisor.

Sarah is a qualified personal trainer specialising in exercise referral with over 12 years’ experience supporting clients. In your one-to-one appointment you will cover:

  • your medical history and any concerns you may have
  • your ability to exercise and any barriers
  • setting goals that are safe, effective and fun
  • learning how to progress your goals as you get fitter
  • ways to keep motivated.

Zena, a recent client said: “Sarah suggested some exercises using resistance bands to help with the pain in my knee, which really helped me be able to be more active. I have lost over a stone now.”
