Weather in Kent

Kent is one of the sunniest and warmest parts of the UK – however we can experience a range of temperatures. The warmest months are June, July and August. Average summer temperature is around 21°C but some days can reach 30°C or more.

Temperatures begin to drop throughout September and October before plummeting in January and February with average daily highs reaching no more than about 7°C. We will get frost and sometimes heavy snow during these months.

Clothing to bring:

  • A thick, waterproof coat with a hood
  • Vests / warm underwear
  • Thick socks
  • Raincoat and umbrella
  • Hats (no balaclavas as these can be associated with crime)
  • Scarf, gloves (or mittens)
  • Wellington boots
  • Jeans/long trousers
  • Long and short-sleeved T-shirts
  • Fleece/jumpers
  • Dresses
  • Leggings
  • Trainers
  • Black work shoes
  • Warm boots.
