We are a team of specialist practitioners, assistant practitioners and healthcare assistants with expertise in the care and treatment of lymphoedema supported by our administrative team. We offer a service to patients in Kent and Medway.
We provide education, advice and support to empower our clients, relatives and carers to manage their condition. We also provide lifestyle advice including skin care, exercise and movement, managing your weight and the prevention of cellulitis. We are able to support clients with swelling after cancer treatment and we provide care to clients who require end of life support.
If you meet our criteria, once you have attended our education session we will ask you to book a first appointment.
At the first appointment, we will carry out an assessment of your lymphoedema and share explanations and information on investigations and treatment options. We will assess for compression therapy and your suitability for intensive treatment.
If you do not meet the criteria we may make onward referrals to other services or providers to support you further.
We regularly signpost our clients to the following resources. We would recommend taking a look to support you in letting us know what is important to you as well as thinking about what you would like to get out of your first appointment. We can provide communication support or information in different
formats. Please tell us as soon as possible, or ask someone to tell us on your behalf, before your appointment, if you need any support, including the following:
- an interpreter, a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter, or information in another language
- information in large print, Braille, Easy Read (using pictures) or audio.
