Our Pharmacy Team wins award for patient safety

Congratulations to our Pharmacy Team which has won the Patient Safety Award at this year's Health Service Journal Awards in London.

At a time when championing patient safety is more crucial than ever, this award recognises not just initiatives focussed on identifying a risk and preventing it, but also projects that have introduced a culture where incidents are reliably reported, investigated and learned from.

Our work across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System, in a partnership between Thanet CIC and Thanet GP practices, was also recognised in two categories.

The Thanet Acute Response Team was a finalist in the Primary and Community Care Innovation of the Year, and Primary and Community Care Provider of the Year.
