Walk details

There are a range of different walk routes exploring local green space, the town and promenade area.

• 8 October – Meet at the Water Tower and walk along the footpaths into Canterbury.
• 15 – October Meet Dead Man’s corner and walk to Long Rock and back. Forms will be handed out for Christmas meal to be returned by 29 October.
• 22 October – Meet Dead Man’s corner in the harbour and walk to South Street and back via Crab and Winkle and Stream walk. Forms will be handed out for Christmas meal to be returned next week.
• 29 October – Meet at Dead Man’s corner to Seasalter and back.
• 5 – November Meet Dead Man’s corner in the harbour for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
• 12 November – Meet Meadow walk near top of Borstal Hill and walk down to Seasalter Church and into Whitstable.
• 19 November – Meet Tollgate by the garage and walk along Joy Lane to Seasalter and back to Whitstable.
• 26 November – Meet Dead Man’s corner and walk through Alleys in Whitstable.
• 3 December – Christmas meal at the golf club meet 11.30am for 12noon, alternatively those who wish to do a short walk meet Dead Man’s corner at 11am. There will be a table quiz and winners will win a prize.
• 8 January 2026 – Meet Dead Man’s corner for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.

These walks might involve negotiating fields, inclines, uneven footpaths and stiles. Please check with the walk leader if you are unsure of the suitability. Please wear appropriate footwear.
