Walk details
There are a range of different walk routes exploring local green space, the town and promenade area.
- 18 February – Meet Herne Bay bandstand and walk to Bishopstone and back
- 25 February – Meet Rugby Club and walk around Chestfield
- 4 March – Meet Dead Man’s corner for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back
- 11 March – Meet Dead Man’s corner and walk to South Street and back via Crab & Winkle and Stream walk
- 18 March – Meet Meadow walk near top of Borstal Hill and walk down to Seasalter Church and into Whitstable
- 25 March – Meet at the Water Tower and walk along the footpaths into Canterbury
- 1 April – Meet Dead Man’s corner for either short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back
- 8 April – Meet Westgate gardens in Canterbury and walk along the river Stour and back
- 15 April – Meet bicycle sculpture in South Street near Tesco and walk along crab & winkle to Winding pond and back
- 22 April – Meet Dead Man’s corner to Seasalter and back (Note walk can be changed to avoid going up the slope)
- 29 April – Meet Hampton Pier bus stop and walk back to Whitstable
- 6 May – Meet Dead Man’s corner for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
These walks might involve negotiating fields, inclines, uneven footpaths and stiles. Please check with the walk leader if you are unsure of the suitability. Please wear appropriate footwear.
