Walk details

There are a range of different walk routes exploring local green space, the town and promenade area. Dates and meeting points:

  • 21 May – meet Meadow walk near top of Borstal Hill and walk down to Seasalter Church and into Whitstable.
  • 28 May – meet Westgate gardens in Canterbury and walk along the river Stour and back.
  • 4 June – meet Dead Man’s corner in the harbour for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
  • 11 June – meet at the bicycle sculpture in South Street near Tesco and walk along crab and winkle to Winding pond and back.
  • 18 June – meet Dead Man’s corner to Seasalter and back.
  • 25 June – meet Herne Bay Bandstand and walk to Bishopstone and back.
  • 2 July – meet Dead Man’s corner in the harbour for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
  • 9 July – meet Red Lion bus stop near Meadow Grange walk up to winding pond gradual hill then flat towards Tesco and continue along crab and winkle to Whitstable.
  • 16 July – meet Dead Man’s corner walk to South Street and back via Crab and Winkle and Stream walk.
  • 23 July – meet Rugby club and walk around Chestfield.
  • 30 July – meet Meadow Walk near top of Borstal Hill and walk down to Seasalter Church and into Whitstable.

These walks might involve negotiating fields, inclines, uneven footpaths and stiles. Please check with the walk leader if you are unsure of the suitability. Please wear appropriate footwear.
