Stronger, together

Mairead McCormickI am delighted to share with you that Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, alongside its partners, has been awarded the contracts for adult and children's services in Kent and Medway.

As part of our commitment to be leaders in community care, sharing resources, innovation and best practice, we submitted bids to deliver these services in partnership with HCRG Care Group (HCRG) and Medway Community Healthcare (MCH), with KCHFT acting as the contractual lead.

We’re stronger together, so I’m delighted to combine forces with HCRG and MCH to use our collective expertise and resources to improve care for adults and children across Kent.

This partnership aims to build on existing services, combining expertise to deliver even greater improvements. One of the key goals is to make sure people can access the right services, no matter where they live.

Local people won’t see any immediate changes to the services they receive. Their care will continue to be delivered by the same trusted teams of professionals.

This award is the culmination of months of hard work by our teams and through this process we have developed new ways of working, which will support our common goal to help people to live their best life.

Working with GPs and other health and care partners, we will build neighbourhood health services that keep people well at home, investing in a future where proactive and preventive care leads the way.

The contracts will start in October and run for at least five years.
