Sharing culture and stories county-wide this Black History Month

We are #KCHFTProud of our colleagues from across the county who marked Black History Month with a series of gatherings, online learning sessions and site celebrations.

BAME network members and allies celebrate Black History Month

A highlight at head office was the open invitation lunch to celebrate African and Caribbean cultures, hosted by our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) network.

The informal get-together for network members and allies featured guest speaker, National Head of Inclusive System Development at NHS England and NHS Improvement, Tracie Jolliff, who talked about this year’s theme: Reclaiming our narratives.

Complete with Afro-Caribbean food and music, the open forum provided a safe space for people to discuss the stories that define their culture, contributions and identity.

Our BAME network is proud of our person-centred approach to making sure we all have a positive and inclusive working life experience at #TeamKCHFT year-round.
