Better at home: Building the future of frailty care in Kent and Medway

Colleagues, partners, carers and people with lived experience are invited to a free conference exploring the future of frailty care across Kent and Medway.

Better at home: Building the future of frailty care in Kent will bring together health, care and voluntary sector professionals to share ideas, learn from best practice and help shape future services.

The event will focus on prevention, neighbourhood working and integrated care, highlighting how services can support people living with frailty to stay well, independent and connected to their communities for longer.

The conference keynote speaker is Dr Shelagh O'Riordan, President of the Hospital at Home Society, a national leader in frailty and community-based care.

Shelagh said: "As people are living longer, there are more people living with frailty at home and in care homes. It is increasingly important we find ways to bring care closer to home, helping people stay independent and connected to the people and places that matter most to them. This event is a chance to come together, share what's working well, learn from one another and explore how we can continue improving care and support for people across Kent and Medway."

The event is free to attend and is suitable for care home staff, clinicians, GPs, voluntary sector partners, carers and people with lived experience.
