Chosen as NHS trailblazers for a new digital workforce system

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust has been invited to help the NHS build and trial a new digital workforce system, meaning we’ll be among the first to use it and shape how it works.

We were chosen alongside other NHS providers in Kent and Medway, because of our strong digital approach, our commitment to improving staff experience and our proven ability to support national innovation. Early adopters of the new system will work together and move onto the new system sooner than most other NHS organisations.

Work will begin in June, with our go‑live planned for June 2027. Others may not have the new system until 2030.

Being involved from the start, we can help shape how the new platform works and ensure it makes daily processes clearer and quicker, from checking pay details to keeping track of career progress.

By reducing time spent on admin and giving colleagues quicker access to the information they need, the new system will free up more time for colleagues to focus on patient care. Although much of the work will happen behind the scenes, it is expected to make a real difference to colleagues by reducing paperwork, improving access to information and helping services run more smoothly.

Chief People Officer Victoria Robinson‑Collins said: “Taking part at this early stage means we can help build a system that truly supports our people and strengthens future patient care.”

Assistant Director of People Emma Skinner added: “Being a trailblazer puts us at the forefront of NHS improvement and that ultimately benefits our colleagues, our patients and the communities we support.”
