Jean Ravenna receives recognition award

Jean Ravenna, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse, has received a recognition award from Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust for her outstanding contribution to improving access to health support for young people.
Jean led a successful pilot campaign using Snapchat to promote the ChatHealth texting service, which offers confidential advice and support young people. The campaign resulted in a significant increase in engagement, with contacts rising from 96 to 979 in two years, a 925 per cent increase.
She said: “The initiative enabled us to reach young people who may not otherwise have accessed support, including those not in education and those experiencing emotional distress.”
In one instance, Jean supported an 11-year-old who disclosed suicidal thoughts via ChatHealth. Jean acted promptly and sensitively, ensuring the child’s safety and access to specialist support.
Jean’s award recognises her commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people across Kent.
