Who we are

We are a team of qualified nurses and experienced support workers in providing care for children and young people who are assessed as needing support with continence products within the trust.

What we do

We assess and support children to provide the correct continence product to meet their clinical need. During the assessment we will give basic toileting advice and sign post if we identify an issue with the bladder or bowel to the GP or bladder and bowel specialist division of our team

We also offer support to education settings and work in close partnership with wider agencies.

How do we accept referrals?

The service accepts referrals for children and young people under a GP within Kent (excluding Medway).

We accept referrals from School Nursing, Health Visiting and Specialist Nurse Advisors from The Children’s Therapy Service after they have offered four to five months of toileting advice.

I liked the telephone assessments. I want to thank Janet for all her help with his toileting and getting my son dry.
