One You Kent shop

Do you know about our one of a kind One You shop in Park Mall, Ashford?

KCHFT have worked jointly with Kent County Council and Ashford Borough Council to open the first ONE YOU shop within the UK.  We are here FOR YOU so come in and see us, no appointment is required!

With the right support and motivation you can make small changes to improve your health right away and double your chances of staying healthy as you get older. Find more top tips to make healthier choices in our Feel Good playlist.

You can access a number of free services at the One You shop, including support and advice to:

• Go smokefree
• Get active
• Eat well
• Drink well
• Stress less
• Improve your wellbeing
• Have a NHS health check.

We have fantastic facilities.

• Three ground floor consultation rooms
• A new kitchen space for people to try out their cookery skills
• Two large upstairs meeting rooms and upstairs kitchen, suitable to host exercise classes, meetings, and workshops
• Providing a Changing Places standard bathroom – a new public toilet which will improve accessibility to the town centre in general and ensure dignity for all when using the bathroom - see UK toilet map for more information
• Providing a seating area with toys - we hope it will be used by all, including parents who need a place to feed their babies.

The shop has also been highlighted as a great example of bringing health services to the high street in a national report. The Local Government Association has written an article highlighting it's contribution to the health and wellbeing of to communities facing health inequalities in Ashford.
