Playing and learning

Your child will continue to learn and explore their feelings through play. Your child is now more interested in making friends with other children and might start to play more cooperatively in small groups. They will understand the concept of ‘mine’ and ‘his/hers/yours’, so sharing starts to get easier. Imaginative play will become more of a feature in your child’s play, they may start to feed their toys, have a pretend tea party, roleplay they are a parent or a job.

Spending time with your child and involving them in tasks will all help them learn. You could look for things on the shopping list, count out vegetables, or measure ingredients for a cake.
