Who we are

We are a team of physiotherapists who work with people with learning disabilities and their families and carers to assess their physical abilities, formulate care plans, create and provide resources and help to improve their quality of life.

What we do

Our assessments look at a person’s mobility, postural care, respiratory needs – including people with dysphagia, their skills and any complex needs support the individual may need.

We provide specialist moving and handling assessments and specialist equipment to support their access needs.

We work with other health and social care providers to make sure the person’s care package is seamless, centred on their individual needs and well-managed.

We enable individuals with learning disabilities to gain independence, learn new skills and access mainstream services where possible.

How to use this service

We accept self-referrals and referrals from health and social care professionals, carers and family members.
