Who we are
We are a team of registered dietitians supported by trained dietetic assistants and clerical staff who deliver nutrition and diet across Kent.
From Ashford, Canterbury, Deal, Dover, Faversham, Folkestone, Herne Bay, Hythe, Romney Marsh, Thanet, Whitstable, to Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and the Weald.
What we do
We help patients with a wide range of conditions including malnutrition; allergies and food intolerances; gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, crohns disease, ulcerative colitis and coeliac disease; diabetes; nutrition during cancer treatment; weight management; nutritional deficiencies and lipid modification
Across Kent we run individual outpatient clinics and groups; visit community hospitals, nursing and residential care homes.
The East team will also visit housebound patients unable to make an outpatient appointment.
How do you use this service?
You need to have a written referral containing all medical, social and nutritional history sent by a GP, nurse or other health professional to the Central Appointments Team, or you can be referred by a community hospital.
