Community hospitals

To protect everyone, we will continue to manage visitors at our community hospitals.

Please visit the relevant hospital page to see the visiting hours for each hospital. Visitors who want to help with patient care outside of the hospitals’ visiting hours, can agree this with the local manager.

Visiting will be limited to two people at the bedside at any one time however, in exceptional circumstances, such as a patient on end of life care, or a patient with learning disabilities or mental health concerns, more visitors may be allowed.

Visitors should not attend hospitals to visit relatives or loved ones if they are feeling unwell, showing symptoms of Covid or tested positive for Covid.

If you have had any diarrhoea and or vomiting in the last 48 hours we would also ask you not to visit the ward today.

For anyone who cannot visit and wants to keep in touch with a patient, all wards can offer virtual visits as we know how important it is for you to see your loved one.

Important information

Visiting guidance may change so please contact the ward in advance if you wish to visit to discuss what you need to do.

There may be certain circumstances where you may be asked to wear a surgical facemask if you are visiting a high risk area or if the person you are visiting is suspected or known to have COVID.

During your visit

• Follow local advice provided by ward staff of the area that you are visiting.
• Use the hand hygiene facilities available on arrival and as you leave the area you are visiting.
• Remove and discard your PPE where necessary.
• Please do not visit other patients or areas of the hospital.
