Join us as we #ThinkCarer

On Thursday, 5 and Friday, 6 November Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Facebook account will be taken over, sharing videos, stories, information and advice for carers.

The Patient and Carer Partnership Team will be launching the trust’s new strategy and plan for carers, sharing helpful guidance and support available across Kent and hearing from guest speakers from the healthcare and carers sector about why putting carers at the heart of patient care is so important, including NHS England’s Chief Nurse, Ruth May.

Unpaid carers are people that provide unpaid support and care beyond what would normally be expected in the realms of a relationship. Carers can be from all ages and all backgrounds.

We hope you will take part, watch the videos and share this information with your networks and anyone who may be interested or benefit from the resources and advice we will be sharing over the two days.

On Friday, 6 November we will be hosting a question and answer session on Facebook Live with Involve Kent and Carer’s Support East Kent. Let us know if you will be joining us going live here.

We will also be running a survey, asking for carers to take part and give us feedback on how they have previously interacted with our services.

Thank you and we hope you will be joining us to #ThinkCarer.

You can see the full powerpoint presentation by Becky Rolfe, from the Children’s Society that she mentions in her video here.
