Ashford, how are you?

The award-winning One You shop in Ashford’s town centre is opening its doors to find out how people are feeling at a health and wellbeing event from 10am to 2pm this Saturday, 25 August.

The free service, run by Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, will be offering health MOTs and on-the-spot blood pressure checks and health checks to anyone aged between 40 and 74 with no pre-diagnosed conditions.

Everyone is invited to visit the shop in Park Mall, take a trip on the wellbeing bus and meet a One You lifestyle advisor to find out how the service can support their health and wellbeing.

So whether you want to find out the best way to lose some weight, get a bit more active, cut down on the amount of alcohol you drink or quit smoking, our friendly team will be on hand to help. Visitors to the shop can also pick up free fruit, a One You goody bag and Start-for-Life packs for children.

Louise Barnett, One You Lifestyle Facilitator, said: “Come along and see what’s in store for you. So many of us lead busy lives and we do not always think about our own wellbeing. This is a fun way to really think about you.”
