Let’s discuss dementia
We’ll be kicking off our annual meeting this year with a dementia roadshow and a chance for you to meet and greet some of our experts.
Join us at the Village Hotel, Castle View, Forstal Road, Sandling, Maidstone ME14 3AQ* from 4pm until 7.30pm, on Thursday, 27 September.
From 4 until 6pm, we will be bringing together organisations that support people affected by dementia. Open to everyone, we will kick-off with a marketplace where you’ll be able to chat to professionals from a range of services, including professionals from voluntary and community organisations, which work with us.
You’ll have the opportunity to join 2.5million people across the UK and become a Dementia Friend. Dementia Friends is about changing the way people think, act and talk about dementia. The session is run by a Dementia Friends Champion, who is trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society.
You can also hear first-hand from someone living with dementia as they talk about their experience, there will be a question and answer session and the chance to meet your local healthcare trust governor.
From 6.15 to 7.30pm, we’ll talk about our achievements and innovations during the past year and explain our vision for the future. Lead Governor Sonja Bigg will present the annual report, our Chief Nurse Ali Carruth will talk about how we make sure we provide high-quality care for patients, while Director of Finance Gordon Flack will tell you how we spent your money on improving care for patients. We will close with questions from you.
If you can’t make it all, don’t worry, you can come and go as you need to. To find out more please RSVP below.
