Fixing Dad BBC star to speak at our diabetes event

Geoff Whitington from the BBC documentary Fixing Dad will be talking at our diabetes event at the Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks on Thursday (28 September) about his battle with the condition.

Four years ago, Geoff was faced with a life-changing choice to have his foot amputated or kick his eating and drinking habits. His sons, Anthony and Ian, stepped in to save their dad and together they embarked on a mission to transform him. The pair decided to capture the journey and the many struggles along the way and their documentary fixing dad, was featured on the BBC. Geoff and his sons have inspired so many and we are delighted Geoff will be sharing his story and details about the new ‘fixing challenge’ with us.

Geoff will be talking between 4 and 6pm, when we will also have health MOTs, Health Checks and blood pressure checks. So please pop along and make sure you know your numbers and the steps you can take to improve your health.*

There will also be an opportunity to look around our mobile podiatry unit, where some patients with more complex foot conditions are seen closer to home.

The event will be followed by our AGM at 6.15pm. You can find more details about the event, including a full list of services and organisations joining us and information on how to RSVP here.
