The GP practice offers face-to-face, phone and video appointments. There are 11 consultation rooms, two nurse consultation rooms and a treatment room.

Opening times:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm
Plus, some Saturday mornings, 9am to 1pm

  • Dispensary: 8.30am to 1pm then 2 to 6.30pm
  • Phlebotomy: 8.30am to 5pm
  • Clinic times: 9am to 5pm

Minor injury service

The GP surgery also offers a walk-in minor injury service. The service is open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.30pm, excluding bank holidays. There is no x-ray available.

The service is for minor injuries only. For illnesses and other medical problems please speak to your GP, phone NHS 111 or visit our urgent treatment page to find your nearest alternative.

What can I be treated for at this service?

  • Injuries (with no obvious deformities/bones sticking out) to arms and legs, fingers, toes, knees.
  • Sprains and strains.
  • Minor head injuries with no loss of consciousness, not on blood thinners and not with foreign bodies in situ.
  • Removal of easily visible objects from ears/nose.
  • Abscesses/bites.
  • New cuts and wounds.
  • Small burns or scalds.
  • Small eye injuries and objects in the eye (not in the eyeball).

We cannot treat:

  • any illness or ailments
  • major trauma
  • suspected heart attacks or cardiac chest pain
  • strokes
  • head injury while on anticoagulant medication
  • any potential bony injury or fractures – no X-ray available.
  • pregnancy issues, for example, labour/breathing issues/chest pain/lack of baby movement
  • social problems
  • drug or alcohol-related problems
  • mental health conditions
  • dental issues
  • management of long term/chronic conditions
  • second opinion on an ongoing condition
  • routine repeat prescriptions
  • abdominal (tummy) pain.

We cannot treat patients under one-year-old.

Wellbeing day centre

The wellbeing day centre provides care for people with dementia offering clinical assessment, interaction and activities. The centre will be open six days-a-week, including Saturdays. While the focus will be to support people with dementia, it will also be used for:

  • frailty short-term intervention for assessment, monitoring, education and treatment
  • health checks, counselling, education and family support for people with learning disabilities
  • wellbeing and lifestyle sessions, including groups and educational sessions including the frequent user service, which supports people who regularly attend A&E
  • support with signposting, education, carers assessments and crisis avoidance
  • therapy rehabilitation including equipment assessment and provision
  • falls clinic.

Over time, the centre will expand to include more clinical services, such as therapy, dietetics and podiatry.

There is no restaurant at the moment – please ask staff on arrival about local arrangements in place for ordering food.
