Minor injury units and walk-in centres (Kent)

Who we are
We are a team of experienced nurse practitioners and nurses who specialise in treating minor injuries and minor ailments.
What we do

Minor injury units offer a walk-in service, 365-days-a-year. Patients aged 12-months-old and over can be treated for minor cuts, bites and stings, foreign bodies in wounds, ears and noses, minor burns and fractures to arms and lower legs. At some units, patients can also be treated for minor ailments such as coughs, colds, ear, nose and throat infections and urinary tract infections.

If you are unsure if we can help then book in or phone NHS 111 on 111.

If you think your problem is more serious you may need to see your own GP or go to an accident and emergency department.

We're listening

  • Do not like to write down my injury / illness details on the booking-in form. (Folkestone WIC)

We have updated our booking-in form to read 'If you do not wish to write your illness/injury then please write 'personal'.
  • You were concerned about being overhead when giving personal details at reception.

We displayed a notice informing patients that a form is available for completing personal details rather than giving them verbally (Edenbridge Minor Injury Unit).
  • We want easier access to clear patient information leaflets.

We set up a Patient Information Library on our website.
